Job Summary

This critical role involves conceptualizing, leading, and implementing a program of projects focused on re-establishing and enhancing IT Emergency Management (Disaster Recovery) for the Saxon State Ministry of the Interior (SMI). The primary goal is ensuring the ministry remains functional and resilient during crises, including defense scenarios. Day-to-day tasks will include formulating and prioritizing requirements based on the BSI Standard 200-4, networking platforms for situation and command information (Police, Civil Protection, Municipalities), and developing new digital leadership platforms using technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI) to counter modern threats. The position requires strong project management skills (e.g., PRINCE2 or PMBOK Guide) to design and prepare special organizational structures (BAO), develop IT service catalogs for emergency operations, and practice continuity and recovery plans with staff. This is an opportunity to contribute significantly to public safety and digital resilience in the state government.

Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent diploma in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Administrative Informatics, or a comparable field, OR equivalent abilities and experience through completed vocational training in Information Technology.

Experience

  • Professional experience in project management standards (e.g., PRINCE2 or PMBOK Guide)
  • Knowledge and practical experience in IT Emergency Management according to BSI Standard 200-4 (advantageous)
  • At least five years of professional experience in information technology or comparable fields (required if not holding a relevant Bachelor's degree)
  • Multi-year relevant professional experience (advantageous)
