Job Summary

This role involves supporting the Chair of Theoretical Ecology, which focuses on theory, modeling, computer simulations, statistics, Data Science, and AI within ecology, evolution, and conservation. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming and maintaining scientific software, primarily using R, Python, and C++. Key daily tasks include the organization and maintenance of ecological data and databases, alongside the administration of the scientific computing infrastructure (CPU/GPU servers). Candidates should possess a degree in a quantitative science and have experience with scientific data acquisition and analysis, ideally within the field of ecology.
