Job Summary

This role involves ensuring the robust IT security of the German Weather Service's (DWD) administrative and business-related IT systems, focusing on implementing and coordinating security standards derived from the IT Security Act 2.0 (IT-SIG 2.0). The coordinator will analyze, evaluate, introduce, and support business IT procedures, coordinating their technical development and problem-solving with specialist departments. Key responsibilities include implementing minimum standards and logging requirements according to IT-SIG 2.0 and coordinating controls and information requests from the BSI (Federal Office for Information Security). The ideal candidate must possess a technical university degree, preferably in Computer Science, and demonstrate strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills, coupled with proficiency in both German (C1) and English (B2). Required Skills

Education

Technical university degree (Bachelor/FH-Diploma), preferably in Computer Science

Experience

  • Successfully completed technical university education (Bachelor/FH-Diploma)
  • Professional experience in IT systems, processes, and architectures (Desirable)
  • Professional experience in Information Security and Information Security Management (Desirable)
  • Advanced experience in IT Project Management, IT Service Management, Compliance Management, or IT Auditing (Desirable)
  • Good experience in System Administration (Windows and Linux) of IT procedures (Desirable)
  • At least 3 years of relevant practical professional experience is required for the higher pay grade (Entgeltgruppe 11)
