Job Summary

This position calls for an engaged and innovative academic to serve as a Professor (W2) focusing on Computer Architecture, Microprocessor Technology, and Hardware-Near Programming within the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and research, guiding students on the practical functioning of computer systems, and contributing to the development of the Technical Computer Science program. Day-to-day activities include delivering lectures in both German and English, supervising student theses and junior researchers, and potentially teaching foundational courses in Electrical Engineering. Key qualifications include practical experience in embedded systems architecture, a completed university degree, and five years of professional experience, with three years outside of academia. This role offers the opportunity to work in a highly-ranked University of Applied Sciences in the Stuttgart region, engage in innovative, practice-oriented research, and collaborate with industry partners.
