Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Electrical Engineer or equivalent to join the Freiburg Regional Council's Engineering Construction department, focusing on the maintenance and modernization of critical infrastructure. The role involves the comprehensive and independent management of complex retrofitting, maintenance, and new construction planning for operational technical systems, primarily within over 25 tunnels in the region's road network. Key responsibilities include project steering for planning projects, managing the procurement of engineering services and expert reports, and ensuring technical compliance. The ideal candidate possesses a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, strong project management skills, and fluency in German. You will act as the client's representative, coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, and advise construction management on technical equipment during the execution phase, contributing directly to the safety and functionality of regional infrastructure.
