Job Summary

This critical role involves leading the Data Protection Staff Unit for the State Capital of Magdeburg, acting as the official Data Protection Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for advising and supporting the administration and staff on the implementation, compliance, and interpretation of data protection regulations, including monitoring adherence across various departments. Key duties include developing strategies and concepts for data protection, conducting staff training using appropriate tools, and preparing statements on legal drafts and administrative regulations. The role also involves consultation on Data Protection Impact Assessments (Art. 35 GDPR), supporting administrative digitalization under the OZG (Online Access Act), and collaborating with supervisory authorities. This position offers a secure, permanent full-time role (39 hours/week) with flexible working hours, home-office options, and compensation based on TVöD-VKA (Collective Agreement for Public Service - Municipalities).
