Job Summary

This role involves strengthening the IT team at the National Center for Tumor Diseases (NCT) Dresden, a key collaboration partner of the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ). The professional will be instrumental in building and operating a high-performance IT infrastructure, coordinating modern IT processes, and collaborating closely with IT departments across multiple institutions (DKFZ Heidelberg and Dresden University Hospital). Key responsibilities include comprehensive system administration, covering installation and maintenance of Windows and Linux workstations and standard software, managing software distribution and updates, and providing essential First- and Second-Level IT support. The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Computer Science or a related field, practical experience with current IT technologies and operating systems, and excellent communication skills to ensure service-oriented support. Required Skills

Education

Completed degree in Computer Science or a comparable field, or a comparable vocational qualification (e.g., IT Specialist)

Experience
