Job Summary

This role involves the critical evaluation of organic and inorganic UV filters, active ingredients, and insect repellents to develop compelling, science-based unique selling propositions (USPs) for cosmetic and biocidal applications. Daily tasks focus on assessing product properties such as texture, stability, visual effects, handling, homogeneity, and critical SPF ratings. The technician will utilize a range of essential analytical techniques, including color measurement, rheology, microscopy, rancimat tests, and in vitro SPF testing, while ensuring strict adherence to objective scientific procedures. A core responsibility is elaborating new scientific data to establish product positioning and supporting the smooth, safe operation of the laboratory by managing documentation and data. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate within an international network and requires fluency in both German and English for effective reporting and presentation of findings, making it ideal for a detail-oriented professional with sun expertise.
