Job Summary

This role seeks a dedicated Research Associate specializing in Embedded Artificial Intelligence to join a leading microsystems technology research institute. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and executing R&D projects, spanning both industry-funded and public grants, focusing heavily on algorithm development in cutting-edge AI fields such as Deep Learning, Federated Learning, and Embedded AI. Day-to-day activities include translating research results into practical software implementations using C/C++ and Python, conducting computer experiments, and documenting findings through reports and scientific publications. The results will be applied across diverse sectors, including Industry 4.0, environmental, and medical technology. Requirements include an excellent university degree in a MINT field and proven programming experience with embedded devices like microcontrollers and NVIDIA Jetson platforms. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to pioneering research, with the possibility of pursuing a doctorate (PhD) and working on cross-industry solutions.

Required Skills

Education

Above-average university degree (Bachelor/Master) in a MINT field (e.g., Computer Science, Embedded Systems, Artificial Intelligence) or comparable studies

Experience

  • Professional experience in leading and executing R&D projects
  • Experience in various areas of Artificial Intelligence, including Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Federated Learning
  • Very strong programming experience, especially in C/C++ and Python
  • Practical experience in programming embedded devices (e.g., microcontrollers, Raspberry Pi, NVIDIA Jetson, FPGA)
