Job Summary

This challenging and complex role in the Emergency Control Center requires a dedicated Dispatcher to manage operations for the Municipal Order Service. Day-to-day duties involve the structured intake and assessment of calls, complaints, reports, and requests for assistance, followed by the immediate dispatching of municipal forces and resources. The incumbent is responsible for operating and monitoring the Incident and Message Management System (AMM) and radio communications, ensuring thorough documentation and providing critical support to the operational leadership. The position also includes general order management, preparation of investigation files, and potential field presence within the city limits to serve as a contact person for citizens. Key requirements include a relevant administrative or police/security background, strong IT skills (Office), exceptional flexibility, and the willingness to perform demanding shift work between 7:15 AM and 2:15 AM, including weekends and holidays. This is a vital public service role offering high responsibility.

Education

Successful completion as an Administrative Assistant (AL I) OR Qualification for Civil Service Career Group 1, 2nd entry level (General Non-Technical Administrative Service) OR Completed vocational training (if combined with relevant professional experience)

Experience

  • At least two years of professional experience in Municipal Order Service or as a Police employee in patrol duty (if following the alternative qualification path)
  • Professional experience in performing enforcement duty and shift work (including nights, weekends, and holidays)
