Job Summary

This senior academic position involves shaping the future of the built environment by leading teaching, research, and strategy development within the Department of Architecture, Wood, and Construction. The successful candidate will primarily instruct students in Civil Engineering, focusing on computational structural analysis, BIM, and integrated planning processes, while also contributing to Architecture and Wood Technology programs. A key responsibility is leading the 'Integrated Construction and Planning Processes' expert group, managing a team of lecturers and researchers, and actively initiating third-party funded research projects related to the Twin Transition in construction (digitalization and sustainability). Candidates must possess an advanced university degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, significant professional experience in a planning office, and proven leadership and research expertise at the university level. This role is ideal for a highly networked professional passionate about integrating digital methods and AI into planning and decision-making processes.

Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Dissertation in the subject area is desired.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in a planning office or construction practice is mandatory
