Job Summary

The successful candidate will join the Department of Health to generate health policy-relevant research findings aimed at improving the Swiss healthcare system. This role involves advanced quantitative empirical work, focusing on analyzing large routine datasets such as insurance billing data, administrative hospital data, and register data. You will become an expert in the Swiss healthcare data landscape, utilizing sophisticated methodologies including econometric methods, causal inference, and Machine Learning approaches to address complex research questions. Key responsibilities include publishing scientific papers, preparing research proposals, presenting findings externally, and managing project responsibilities within an interdisciplinary team. Ideal candidates possess a Master’s degree in Economics, Data Science, or a related quantitative field, coupled with demonstrable experience in quantitative empirical analysis and excellent proficiency in R or similar software. This position offers a pathway for scientific development, including the possibility of pursuing a PhD.
