Job Summary

This crucial role supports the TRATON Group R&D transformation by focusing on the testing and validation of high-voltage battery systems and components in Nuremberg. The Test Engineer will be responsible for planning and executing complex test procedures, overseeing internal test runs, and managing collaborations with external testing laboratories. A core part of the job involves analyzing and interpreting detailed measurement results, particularly concerning cyclic and calendar aging characteristics of the batteries. Furthermore, the engineer will drive the continuous development of test bench technology and associated methods, including managing investment projects and ensuring ongoing maintenance. Candidates must bring a strong background in engineering, practical experience managing test environments, and specialized knowledge in electrochemistry and high-voltage systems. Required Skills

Education

University degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • At least 5 years of professional experience
  • Solid experience in managing test benches and associated measurement technology
  • Experience in conducting and evaluating component tests
  • Experience with databases (Desirable)

  • Willingness to undertake regular business trips (e.g., to external test laboratories or group-wide meetings); Ideally qualified to work on high-voltage systems up to Level 3.
