Job Summary

This permanent, part-time position (50%) at the German Museum Bonn focuses on maintaining and developing the institution's complex IT and media landscapes, which are central to its mission as a forum for Artificial Intelligence (AI). The specialist will be responsible for the entire IT service lifecycle, including the setup, development, and operation of the IT infrastructure. Key tasks involve Service Design (Capacity, Information Security, and Availability Management), Service Transition (Release, Deployment, and Testing), and 2nd/3rd level Incident and Problem Management. A major component of the role is integrating pioneering technologies such as Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), Deep Learning, AI, and robotics into interactive museum exhibits. Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Media Informatics and demonstrate professional experience in network design, configuration, and the operation of multimedia applications. This role requires strong organizational and problem-solving skills to coordinate internal and external partners effectively.
