Job Summary

This role supports the German Museum and the Munich Science Communication Lab (MSCL) in developing and implementing a traveling exhibition focused on “Planetary Health.” The core mission is to make the critical links between natural systems and human health tangible and accessible to the public. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and testing educational programs for various target groups, training communicators and cultural mediators, and overseeing interactive exhibition stations. A significant component involves contributing to the conception, execution, and evaluation of the special exhibition, including the publication of findings. Candidates must possess a scientific university degree in natural sciences, social sciences, or communication, coupled with relevant practical experience in science communication and didactic concept development. Fluency in both German and English is essential, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to high-impact public engagement on a vital global topic. The position is project-based and runs until March 2027.

Required Skills

Education

Scientific university degree in Natural Sciences, Social Sciences, Teaching, or Communication/Science Communication.

Experience

  • Relevant practical experience in science communication.
  • Experience in developing and implementing didactic concepts.
  • Experience in event management (beneficial).
  • Experience in empirical social research methods, evaluation, or museum research (beneficial).
