Job Summary

This leadership role involves the professional and organizational management of the IT Operations department at the Deutsches Museum, focusing on ensuring the seamless operation of all IT systems, networks, servers, clients, and peripheral devices across all locations. The Head of IT Operations will lead and develop a team of 5-6 employees, manage infrastructure projects (including technical architecture and implementation), and oversee IT service processes according to ITIL standards. Key responsibilities also include managing external service providers, supporting IT security, and assisting with the introduction of Google Workspace and Google Cloud. The ideal candidate possesses a degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, extensive professional experience in IT operations, proven leadership skills, and deep knowledge of IT infrastructure, cloud technologies, security standards, and Windows/SQL Server administration.
