This Network Engineer role, based at the company's headquarters in Dortmund, involves the strategic design, implementation, and operational management of the Europe-wide corporate network infrastructure. Day-to-day tasks include optimizing and securing the IT landscape, specifically utilizing technologies like HP Aruba, Palo-Alto, and Fortinet for LAN, WAN, and WLAN environments. You will be responsible for network load analysis, resolving complex network issues, processing support tickets via the IT Service Supportdesk, and managing external service providers in the network domain. The ideal candidate holds a completed degree in Computer Science or equivalent IT training combined with several years of professional experience in network infrastructure design (Corporate LAN/WAN/VPN).
