Job Summary

This role involves acting as a key user and specialist for the Computer-Aided Facility Management (CAFM) database, FAMOS, within the Central University Administration of Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU). The specialist will be responsible for ensuring data quality, driving system functional development, and serving as the crucial link between strategic leadership and operational space management. Daily tasks include meticulous data maintenance for new constructions, renovations, and occupancy changes, continuous monitoring and updating of room and space inventories, and conducting complex analyses (e.g., for budget planning and efficient space utilization). The ideal candidate holds a degree in Industrial Engineering, Real Estate Economics, or a related technical field, possesses strong IT affinity, and is proficient in MS Office and database systems, bringing structured, conceptual, and highly reliable working methods to the team.

Required Skills

Education

University degree (Bachelor/Diplom [FH]) in Industrial Engineering, Real Estate Economics, ideally with a focus on Technical Facility Management, or comparable qualification with a technical background.

Experience

  • Professional experience in classical and agile project management (ideally first practical experience)
  • Experience with CAFM systems (e.g., FAMOS) or comparable databases (advantageous)
  • Experience and knowledge in room and area management, preferably in the public sector (desirable)
