Job Summary

This role involves providing essential support for scientific research tasks within Molecular and Cell Biology at the Faculty of Natural Sciences at Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU). Day-to-day responsibilities include executing a wide range of experimental work, such as producing retroviruses, cultivating eukaryotic cell cultures and organoids, performing immunofluorescence staining, and microscopic imaging. The assistant will also manage laboratory operations, including ordering reagents, communicating with suppliers, and ensuring efficient lab organization and safety management, including coordinating lab instructions. Key qualifications include a completed BTA qualification or equivalent, strong knowledge of Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, and Biochemistry, and proven experience in ordering systems and creating experimental protocols. The position requires excellent German (C2) and very good English (C1) skills, offering a collaborative environment within a high-level international research setting.
