Job Summary

This permanent position as a Measurement Technician, located in Dortmund, is crucial for the Institute for Hazardous Substance Research (IGF) within the German Statutory Accident Insurance (BG RCI). The successful candidate will be responsible for the technical organization and quality assurance of measuring devices used both internally and loaned externally. A core function involves independently conducting experiments and tests on various test benches, while also providing essential support to Measurement Engineers during complex hazardous substance measurement campaigns. Candidates must possess a qualification as a state-certified Technician or equivalent professional experience following a technical apprenticeship (such as a precision mechanic). Success in this role requires a high degree of organizational capability, goal-oriented planning, strong teamwork, and excellent communication skills. Required Skills

Education

State-certified Technician qualification OR successfully completed technical/craft vocational training (e.g., Precision Mechanic)

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in technical fields comparable to a certified technician (required if entering via technical apprenticeship route).
