Job Summary

This role involves cutting-edge research focusing on the modeling and simulation of electrical stimulation within biological tissues, spanning micro to macro scales (e.g., brain, bone, cartilage). Key responsibilities include developing and refining advanced numerical models using techniques like FEM/BEM (Volume Conductor, Multi-scale, Multi-physics Models), implementing Digital Twin approaches to link simulations with experimental data, and analyzing uncertainties via stochastic methods and inverse models. You will process biomedical image data (MRI, microscopy) to create simulation-ready models and implement findings within existing open-source frameworks, such as NGSolve. The ideal candidate holds a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering and possesses excellent skills in Python for scientific computing, strong knowledge of Electroimpedance Spectroscopy, and experience with model calibration. This position offers an exciting opportunity for interdisciplinary collaboration with biologists and physicians, culminating in presentations at international conferences and publications in scientific journals.
