Job Summary

This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge space technology by researching and developing radiation-resistant (rad-hard) RRAM memory cells and In-Memory-Computing architectures for Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite missions. The successful candidate will focus on achieving scientific qualification, including pursuing a PhD, within the DFG-funded LEOMEM project. Day-to-day responsibilities involve characterizing and modeling RRAM arrays under harsh environmental conditions (radiation, thermal stress), designing and implementing robust analog and mixed-signal components (e.g., ECC accelerators, Readout circuits), and developing FPGA-based test environments for prototype verification. Key qualifications include a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, coupled with fundamental knowledge in integrated circuit technology, device modeling, or semiconductor memory technologies. This position is attractive due to its focus on creating reliable computing systems for future space exploration and the guaranteed collaboration with leading researchers in memristive devices and systems.
