Job Summary

This role is for a dedicated Network Technician based in Walldorf, focusing on the physical infrastructure of IT systems for an established German IT service provider. Day-to-day responsibilities involve the hands-on installation, removal, and maintenance of hardware, including servers, storage systems, and switches within racks. A core function is precise cabling of both power (copper) and network connections (copper/fiber optic) strictly following documentation. The technician will be responsible for ticket processing and performing optical and physical troubleshooting for servers and cabling issues. Candidates must have completed vocational training, such as an IT Specialist for System Integration, possess strong hardware knowledge, and be proficient in reading cabling diagrams. Excellent written and verbal German and English skills are mandatory, as all work documentation must be completed in English. The position requires readiness to work in a 3-shift system (8-hour shifts) and offers valuable experience in complex project environments, welcoming both experienced professionals and career starters.
