Job Summary

This role involves taking a central position within the SusGel Graduate School, focusing on the conception, further development, and implementation of research data management (RDM) and Data Science projects. The Data Steward will be responsible for developing and implementing FAIR-compliant data solutions, strategic concepts for archiving, exchange, and analysis of research data, and ensuring comprehensive documentation and quality assurance of data, tools, and processes. A key component is the development and application of data analytical methods to address scientific questions in close cooperation with researchers. The ideal candidate must hold a Master's degree or equivalent, preferably a PhD, in a relevant technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Materials Science), coupled with several years of experience in RDM, Data Science, and Big Data, and practical knowledge of R and Python. Required Skills

Education

University Degree (Master's or equivalent) in Computer Science, Materials Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a comparable field, with a completed PhD

Experience

  • Professional experience in research data management, Industry 4.0, Data Science, and Big Data (multiple years)
  • Experience in the conception, development, and administration of extensive IT infrastructures
  • Practical knowledge in handling relevant tools and programming languages (R and Python)
  • Technical competence in Materials Science or Battery Research
