Job Summary

This specialized, fixed-term position (24 months) in Bonn requires a State-Certified Technician to handle a dual role involving both specialized field measurements and critical IT support. Day-to-day, you will conduct mobile gamma-spectrometric measurements across several German states (including NRW, RP, HE), ensuring the operational readiness of specialized measurement systems, vehicles, and data transmission IT. Concurrently, you will serve as key IT support for the department, focusing on end devices and the Service Desk. This includes the technical analysis and resolution of hardware and software faults, advising staff on effective IT resource use, and maintaining comprehensive technical documentation and CMDB records. The ideal candidate possesses a technical degree, strong expertise in Microsoft environments, proven troubleshooting skills, and the willingness to undertake frequent travel and field work, often requiring specific health certifications related to radiation exposure and respiratory protection.

Required Skills

Education

State-Certified Technician degree in Electrical Engineering (with suitable specialization), Physics Technology, or comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in IT, particularly PC support (ideally)
  • Professional experience in technical analysis and fault clearance of PC systems
  • Experience with central error ticket systems (desirable)
