Job Summary

This role involves specialized coordination and data management within the Department of Agriculture, Environment, and Veterinary Affairs for the Uckermark district. The successful candidate will primarily manage the Geographic Information System (GIS), including providing, maintaining, updating, and preparing various environmental data for internal use and external transfer to planning offices, applicants, and other authorities. A significant part of the job involves coordinating official statements as a public interest body (TÖB) across various regulatory procedures, such as development planning (FNP, B-Pläne), mining law, and water law permits, utilizing the ProUmwelt administration program. Candidates must possess a degree in Public Administration (non-technical higher service), Ecology, Environmental Protection, or similar fields, coupled with secure knowledge of GIS systems (like QGIS) and fundamental understanding of environmental law. This is a responsible, varied, and challenging position requiring strong communication, resilience, and a clear command of the German language (C1 minimum).

Required Skills

Education

Degree in Public Administration (Diplom-Verwaltungswirt) or equivalent qualification for the higher non-technical administrative service, OR a degree in Ecology, Environmental Protection, Environmental Management, or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in handling Geoinformation Systems (QGIS and others)
  • Professional experience in administrative coordination and statement processing

Languages

German (Fluent)

Additional

  • Clear and concise expression in written and spoken German (minimum C1 level), valid driver's license (PKW-Führerschein), willingness to undergo an official background check (Führungszeugnis) upon hiring, fixed-term contract (expected until March 31, 2027).
