Job Summary

The City of Krefeld is seeking a dedicated Team Leader for Soil Protection and Contaminated Sites to join the Environmental and Consumer Protection Department. Key responsibilities include leading the team, preparing hazard assessments for potentially contaminated areas, overseeing and reviewing remediation and investigation plans for contaminated sites, and developing and implementing a comprehensive soil protection strategy for the city. The ideal candidate must possess a Master's degree or equivalent in a relevant field such as Environmental Science, Geosciences, or Civil Engineering, coupled with several years of professional experience in contaminated site remediation. Strong leadership skills, expertise in environmental and procurement law, and excellent German language proficiency are essential for success in this impactful public sector role.
