Job Summary

This role is for an experienced Specialist System Engineer to join the IT System House of the Federal Employment Agency (BA), managing one of Germany's largest IT landscapes, specifically focusing on the massive digital document management system (E-AKTE). The system manages over four billion documents, requiring high demands on architecture and performance. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning, maintenance, and administration of IT systems and infrastructure, developing and monitoring software/hardware, and ensuring system availability and security. A core focus involves creating and maintaining Continuous Integration (CI) pipelines, Helm Charts for container orchestration, and automating software build processes using scripting. The ideal candidate possesses a university degree in Computer Science or related field, extensive professional experience, and strong knowledge of CI/CD tools (GitLab CI/GitHub Actions), scripting languages (XML, JavaScript), and programming languages like Python and Java. This position offers significant flexibility, allowing up to 80% remote work.
