Job Summary

This role involves working as a Specialist System Engineer within the Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-BA) for one of Europe's largest governmental IT networks, focusing on maintaining the highest level of information security for the Federal Employment Agency (BA). The specialist will be responsible for the planning, administration, and maintenance of IT systems and security infrastructure, including the development and monitoring of software and hardware. Key activities include analyzing, evaluating, and resolving complex Security Incidents (2nd/3rd Level), providing and maintaining security platforms like SIEM and EDR, and proactively engaging in Threat Hunting based on TTPs (e.g., MITRE ATT&CK). Candidates must possess a university degree or equivalent qualification, along with several years of relevant professional experience, particularly within a Security Operations Center (SOC) environment, and deep knowledge of attacker tactics and techniques. The position offers significant flexibility, allowing up to 80% remote work from the Nuremberg location.
