Job Summary

This crucial role involves acting as a Satellite Control Center (SCC) Systems Engineer for Airbus Defence and Space in Taufkirchen. The primary focus is on conducting conceptual design activities for SCC systems, including establishing requirements for both hardware and software items, and defining interfaces across the ground segment, encompassing ground stations, networks, and IT infrastructure. Day-to-day tasks include elaborating on system trade-offs, supporting overall architecture definition, and developing comprehensive validation and operations concepts. Furthermore, you will be responsible for preparing essential operational products such as Flight and Ground Operations Procedures (FOPs/GOPs). Successful candidates must possess a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Telecommunications, coupled with several years of experience in both IT/Information Systems and Aerospace Engineering. Expertise in Spacecraft Control Center, Payload Control Center systems engineering, and strong knowledge of software-based systems and IT infrastructure are mandatory, along with fluent proficiency in both English and German.
