This role as a Technical Specialist in Chemical Technology focuses on advancing sustainable solutions within the Polymer Recycling department at the prestigious Fraunhofer IVV in Freising. The core mission involves implementing and executing solvent-based plastic recycling processes, crucial for recovering valuable materials from waste streams like electronic devices and demolition debris. Day-to-day responsibilities include operating and maintaining diverse machinery and units within the institute’s pilot plant (Technikum), ensuring precise installation, commissioning, and swift troubleshooting of equipment. You will be responsible for meticulous documentation and preparation of experimental results, working closely with project management. Candidates should possess a relevant technical qualification, such as a Process Mechanic or Chemical Technical Assistant background, coupled with strong technical and chemical expertise, especially in handling pilot-scale apparatus and high-viscosity fluids.
