Job Summary

This critical role supports the executive management of the State IT Service Provider (SID) by driving strategic steering and efficient operations. The specialist is tasked with establishing and continuously advancing comprehensive, holistic business process management (BPM) across the organization. Day-to-day responsibilities include identifying, analyzing, and optimizing core business processes, providing strategic consultation to the executive board regarding process structures and control instruments, and preparing leadership-relevant status information. The position acts as a key interface between executive staff work and various IT management disciplines, such as IT Service Management and Project Management. Furthermore, you will manage process controlling, maintain the SID process landscape, contribute to corporate strategy development, and assist with goal setting and reporting. Candidates must possess a scientific university degree in a relevant field like Informatics or Business Informatics, coupled with mandatory German proficiency at a C1 level, ensuring effective communication within the state administration context. This is a strategic, permanent position offering significant scope for design and responsibility within a stable public IT environment.

Required Skills

Education

Master's degree (Scientific University Diploma) in Informatics, Information Technology, Business Informatics, Public Governance, or a comparable field. Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree (FH Diploma) or Master's in another field combined with relevant professional experience in Business Process Management.

Experience

  • Professional experience in Business Process Management (required if educational background is not a scientific degree in a specified technical field)
  • Knowledge and experience in IT management disciplines (ITSM, EAM, ISM) (advantageous)
  • Experience in IT Project Management and/or Project Controlling (advantageous)
  • Experience applying IT Management Standards (e.g., ITIL, TOGAF) (advantageous)
  • Experience in editing and publishing online and print content (advantageous)
