Job Summary

This role involves supporting the maintenance and construction activities crucial for ensuring navigable water depths on the Lower and Outer Elbe waterways. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the commissioning and settlement of dredging contracts and participating in hydraulic engineering measures, such as the construction and repair of guiding dams, groynes, and brushwood fences, as well as clearing underwater obstacles like boulders, anchors, and wreckage. This position, based optionally in Hamburg or Cuxhaven after an initial training period in Cuxhaven, requires a background as a certified technician or master craftsperson in civil or hydraulic engineering. It is a full-time, fixed-term contract until May 2028, offering the opportunity to contribute to vital federal infrastructure management within the Waterways and Shipping Administration.

Certified Technician (State-certified) in Civil Engineering or Master Craftsperson in Civil or Hydraulic Engineering, or comparable qualification

Experience
