Job Summary

This role involves providing critical onsite IT support for hardware and software solutions to customers across the Thuringia and Saxony regions of Germany. The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end setup and configuration of IT workstations, including desktop PCs, notebooks, printers, and peripheral devices, and providing user training on their operation. A major component of the job is hands-on troubleshooting and problem resolution for issues related to hardware, Microsoft Windows operating systems, and networks directly at the client site. Furthermore, the technician manages hardware inventory, including setup, teardown, and stock control, and ensures accurate documentation of all support tickets and IT rollouts. Candidates must have a completed IT qualification, professional experience in field troubleshooting, and excellent German language skills, coupled with a high degree of customer and service orientation to reliably deliver solution-focused support.

Required Skills

Education

Vocational training/Apprenticeship as an IT Specialist for System Integration, IT System Salesperson, or comparable IT qualification

Experience

  • Professional experience in onsite troubleshooting of desktop PCs, notebooks, and printers
  • Fundamental knowledge of standard software, operating systems, and application deployment

Languages

German (Fluent)

Additional

  • Must possess a Class B driver's license; Willingness to travel across the Thuringia and Saxony regions; Field service role requiring travel to customer sites.
