Job Summary

This role seeks a Hardware Engineering Safety I&C Specialist responsible for the maintenance and continuous development of specialized engineering tools, primarily built on MS Access and MS Visio utilizing VBA programming, within the ICEDH-G unit. The core daily tasks involve generating comprehensive requirements and specification documents (Pflichten- and Lastenheften), creating and updating both user and developer documentation, and collaborating directly with end-users to implement continuous improvements. The specialist will also provide essential project support during tool application and conduct necessary user training sessions. Key qualifications include a completed university degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, foundational experience in creating specification documents, strong programming skills in a high-level language (such as VBA, C, or Python), and proficiency with databases, ideally including SQL programming. This position offers a permanent, full-time contract with a desirable 35-hour work week and strong potential for permanent employment by the client.

Education

Completed University Degree (Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or comparable)

Experience

  • Initial experience in creating, implementing, and reviewing requirements specifications
  • Professional experience with high-level programming languages (VBA, C, Perl, Python, Java, etc.)
  • Confident handling of databases, ideally with SQL programming skills
  • Experience in documenting programming results and commenting code
