This IT In-house Consultant role is crucial for ensuring the smooth and optimal utilization of Geoinformation Systems (GIS) within a large municipal organization. The consultant will provide expert advice and support, focusing on managing the introduction of new GIS programs and modules across various technical departments. Day-to-day tasks involve participating in diverse GIS projects, ranging from initial requirements analysis to managing procurement procedures, and driving the continuous development of the overall GIS landscape through innovative digitalization initiatives. Furthermore, the consultant acts as the central point of contact for GIS users, providing essential support via the IT user service and Helpdesk to guarantee quick and competent problem resolution. The position requires a university degree, extensive knowledge of GIS technology, practical experience with ArcGIS, and familiarity with both agile and classic project management methods.
