Job Summary

This critical role involves shaping the future of the power grid, focusing on strategic target grid planning for 110-kV, 10-kV, and 0.4-kV electricity networks. The Strategic Grid Planning Engineer will look 20 years ahead, addressing challenges posed by increasing e-mobility and optimizing networks for the energy and heat transition. Day-to-day tasks include developing grid topologies, planning the networking of operational equipment (substations, pumping stations, heat transfer stations) for smart infrastructure, and continually reviewing and evaluating networks using advanced simulation and grid calculation software. The engineer will derive measures for technical availability and regulatory compliance, influencing the expansion of critical infrastructure while also planning the strategic development of the data network (fiber optic, 4G/LTE, 450 MHz radio) to ensure stable cross-sector connectivity. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Energy Technology and possesses a visionary mindset focused on developing new concepts for the energy world of tomorrow.
