Job Summary

This permanent, full-time position at the State Laboratory Berlin-Brandenburg (LLBB) involves performing complex chemical-technical examinations within an accredited environment. The role focuses on analyzing various matrices, including cosmetics, consumer goods, tobacco products, samples related to hazardous substance law, and food items. Key day-to-day responsibilities include the independent preparation and execution of specialized testing procedures using techniques such as Potentiometry, Spectrophotometry (UV-VIS), and Thin-Layer Chromatography. You will be responsible for autonomous data evaluation and calculations utilizing EDV programs, particularly Excel, and working proficiently with the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). The ideal candidate holds a state-recognized qualification as a Chemical-Technical Assistant or equivalent, possesses strong technical competence in these analytical methods, and demonstrates high performance readiness, self-reliance, and excellent teamwork skills. State-recognized Chemical-Technical Assistant qualification or certified Laboratory Technician qualification (or equivalent skills and experience)

Experience

  • Experience in preparing and conducting specialized testing procedures (Potentiometry, Spectrophotometry, Thin-Layer Chromatography)
  • Experience working with Laboratory Information and Sample Management Systems (LIMS)
  • Experience in supervising and training food chemistry interns and apprentices
