Job Summary

This permanent, part-time position (75% workload) at the State Laboratory Berlin-Brandenburg (LLBB) involves independent, expert investigation and legal assessment of foodstuffs, focusing on fats, delicatessen, confectionery, and baked goods. The Scientific Staff Member is responsible for drafting expert opinions for state authorities, contributing to various committee activities, and continuously observing literature to establish and advance testing procedures. A critical component of the role is ensuring all procedures adhere to the requirements of the accredited laboratory, specifically DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 quality assurance standards. Candidates must be State-Certified Food Chemists with excellent knowledge of chemical-analytical food testing, national and European food law, and quality management. The role also includes supervising and training scientific and technical junior staff, requiring strong leadership and communication skills.
