This Doctoral Researcher position focuses on cutting-edge scientific investigation within the Molecular Nephrology working group at the University Hospital Münster (UKM). The core responsibility involves researching the biology of podocytes, which are essential components of the kidney's filtration barrier, and exploring the causes of related diseases, specifically focusing on the regulation of the Hippo signaling pathway. Day-to-day tasks include generating, analyzing, and crossing *Drosophila* fly lines, implementing advanced imaging techniques such as Immunofluorescence, Electron Microscopy, and Life Cell Imaging, and performing complex molecular analyses including RNA-Seq, Cut&Tag, and Proximity Labeling (TurboID, APEX). Candidates must hold a completed university degree in life sciences (e.g., Biology, Molecular Medicine) and possess professional experience in molecular and cell biology, coupled with enthusiasm for working with *Drosophila melanogaster*.
