Job Summary

This part-time role (max. 25 hrs/week) as a Biologist, Landscape Manager, or Landscape Ecologist focuses heavily on Nature Conservation within the Wesermarsch District's Environmental Agency. The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning and implementation of ecological compensation measures, including selecting suitable sites, conducting detailed ecological assessments, developing target concepts, and overseeing land acquisition and notarial processing. Day-to-day tasks involve supervising the implementation of biotope-shaping measures, monitoring existing compensation areas (including flora, fauna, and nesting checks), and ensuring long-term maintenance through coordination with local farmers and land managers. The role also requires significant public engagement, such as organizing informational events, giving presentations, and leading nature conservation tours. Key qualifications include a relevant Bachelor's or Master's degree with a focus on nature conservation, strong communication skills, and the ability to work flexible hours for external appointments.
