Job Summary

The City of Dortmund's Municipal Drainage Department is seeking a Drainage Planning Engineer to contribute to future-oriented urban water management and climate change adaptation. This role involves developing area-specific general drainage plans and conducting essential hydraulic analyses. Day-to-day tasks include performing complex sewer network calculations and surface runoff simulations using specialized software like ++Systems (Hydraulik and GeoCPM). You will also be responsible for managing and steering projects executed by external engineering firms and providing expert support to internal teams regarding sewer hydraulics. The ideal candidate holds a university degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering (Urban Water Management specialization), or a related field, and possesses comprehensive water management knowledge.
