Job Summary

This role involves serving as a Project Manager and Civil Engineer within the City of Dortmund's Civil Engineering Department, specifically supporting the 'Traffic Transition Office.' The primary focus is ensuring the sustainable, technically sound, and economically balanced implementation of urban rail projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include leading projects, taking on the role of site management (Bauoberleitung) and local construction supervision, and coordinating all technical parties and specialist planners on site. The successful candidate will manage construction execution matters of city-wide importance, influence design and execution planning, and act as the client representative for contracted HOAI services. Key requirements include high technical competence and extensive professional experience in project management and supervising civil engineering structures or urban rail systems, coupled with familiarity with AVA software (ideally iTWO). The position is crucial for maintaining and developing the city's infrastructure to meet future environmental demands.
