Job Summary

The City of Dortmund's Civil Engineering Department is seeking a dedicated Civil Engineer / Construction Manager to oversee special infrastructure projects focusing on traffic and open space facilities. This role requires independent management and coordination of complex projects, ensuring successful implementation aligned with urban development goals. Daily responsibilities include autonomous communication with political committees and external stakeholders, contributing to high-level supplementary contract management for municipal road construction, and drafting engineering contracts in accordance with the German Fee Structure for Architects and Engineers (HOAI). A key task involves preparing tender documents and creating specifications using the iTWO AVA software. Candidates must possess a degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering and demonstrable long-term experience in technical construction project execution. Success requires a proactive, assertive approach, coupled with the ability to cooperatively represent the city's technical and economic interests against contractors. Required Skills

Education
