Job Summary

This role involves crucial site supervision and coordination for the installation of the highly complex FAIR particle accelerator infrastructure. The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the installation and testing of approximately 35,000 user cables, component grounding, and machine-adjacent cable tray systems. A core function is ensuring that all work, including cable termination, assembly, and installation, strictly adheres to technical documentation, relevant VDE standards, and general engineering rules. Day-to-day tasks involve coordinating executing companies and specialized departments, attending LCM meetings, reviewing contractor invoices and measurements, and conducting final acceptance tests (SAT). The ideal candidate holds a university degree in Electrical Engineering and possesses professional experience in commissioning complex machinery and managing large construction sites.
