Job Summary

This role is a critical position within the Electric Power Systems (EPS) department at the GSI Helmholtzzentrum, supporting the construction of the massive FAIR particle accelerator facility. The successful candidate will primarily focus on work preparation and cable management for the installation and testing of approximately 35,000 user cables, component grounding, and associated cable infrastructure. Key responsibilities include cross-functional coordination for maintaining cable data in a central database, managing continuous change requests, preparing detailed work instructions, and ensuring technically correct cable routing plans in collaboration with machine owners and external contractors. This position requires a university degree in Electrical Engineering, professional experience in commissioning complex systems, and familiarity with VDE standards. It offers the chance to engage in challenging, diverse tasks within an internationally recognized research institute dedicated to world-class science, contributing directly to one of the largest global research projects.

Education

Experience
