Job Summary

This role involves ensuring smooth and secure IT operations at the Heidelberg University of Education, a major educational and research center. The administrator will be responsible for the full lifecycle management of critical infrastructure, including the conceptualization, installation, and operation of a new file server utilizing DFS structure. Key daily tasks include the continuous development of the Document Management System (FILERO) and the Identity Access Management (IAM) system, supporting the migration of servers and network components, and actively participating in Active Directory infrastructure administration. Candidates must possess a degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience, coupled with deep knowledge of Windows and Linux server administration, scripting, and critical network services (DHCP, DNS, VPN, AD, LDAP). Success in this position requires strong analytical skills, a high degree of IT security understanding, and fluency in both German and English. The position offers a dynamic team environment, flexible working hours, and home office options.

Successfully completed degree in Computer Science or a degree with relevant professional experience
