Job Summary

This role involves ensuring the smooth and secure IT operations for the Heidelberg University of Education, focusing heavily on developing and maintaining the core network infrastructure. Key responsibilities include planning and executing the renewal of the WLAN infrastructure, implementing and operating a new Voice over IP (VoIP) system, and managing the migration of legacy telephone systems. The administrator will independently configure and manage server services across Linux, Windows, and Apple environments, requiring strong scripting skills. A critical component of the job is enhancing network security by adapting and developing firewall and network security concepts, alongside managing Apple device fleets and designing a campus-wide printing strategy. Candidates must possess a degree in Computer Science or equivalent, coupled with relevant professional experience, excellent knowledge of network security, directory services, and fluency in both German and English.
