This role is a key technological interface within the Biology and Preclinical Medicine department, supporting cutting-edge research and teaching. The successful candidate will act as an engineer, translating complex scientific problems into bespoke hardware and software solutions. Day-to-day tasks include innovation consulting, designing and manufacturing electronic circuits, prototypes, and high-precision measuring devices, and integrating embedded or PC-based control and readout software. The position requires a solution-oriented personality with a deep understanding of electronics and programming, preferably holding a degree in Electrical Engineering, Microsystems Technology, or Computer Engineering. Required Skills

Education

University Degree (Diploma/Bachelor/Master) in Electrical Engineering, Microsystems Technology, Electronics, Technical Computer Science, or a comparable technical discipline

Experience

  • Initial experience in software development, preferably with C/C++
  • Knowledge of high-level languages such as C# or Python (advantageous)
  • Interest and willingness to learn microcontroller and embedded systems programming
  • Professional experience in a technical discipline (implied by required degree)
