Job Summary
This permanent, full-time role at the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg focuses on optimizing the institution's data infrastructure and reporting capabilities. The successful candidate will analyze and advance data management, Data Governance, and quality assurance processes, implementing these improvements via evaluation modules. Key responsibilities include the conception, implementation, and maintenance of reports and reporting modules using Business Intelligence (BI) software, and continuing the development of a scalable, cross-university database model. The specialist will also play a crucial role in supporting the Quality Management System for research, teaching, and administration, and assisting in the realization of data-driven decision templates. Candidates must possess a Master's degree in Computer Science or a comparable field, coupled with very strong expertise in database systems, Data Warehouse concepts, and quality management, ideally within the higher education sector. This position offers stable employment in the public sector at a prestigious, internationally connected institution.

Master's Degree (Diplom or comparable) in Computer Science or a comparable scientific field
Experience
- Professional experience in Information and Database Management, Data Governance, and Data Warehouse
- Professional experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Management, preferably in the higher education sector
- Professional experience in Reporting, preferably in the higher education sector
- Basic knowledge in Interface Development
- Experience with relevant Business Intelligence software solutions (e.g., IBM Cognos Analytics) is desirable
Languages
Additional
- Non-German degree holders must provide a Statement of Comparability for Foreign Higher Education Qualifications; Knowledge of relevant laws and administrative regulations (e.g., GDPR, Higher Education Act, Statistics Act) is desirable; Full-time, permanent contract.
